As tradition holds, the Chamber’s new Board President, Michael Giordano, has named his selection for the Chamber’s Charity of Choice for 2016. This year, special fundraising and communication efforts of the Chamber will benefit Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania.
Vision Resources has been supporting and promoting the interests of those who are blind, visually impaired and otherwise disabled for 95 years. Formerly named the TriCounty Association for the Blind, the non-profit organization, which serves Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Perry counties, also provides blindness prevention services and a host of special programs, employment for persons with disability challenges and eye/ low-vision clinics. “We are honored to have been chosen as the Charity of Choice for 2016,” said Executive Director Danette Blank. “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to promote our organization and mission. We strive to be the comprehensive resource for services that prevent blindness and maximize opportunities for individuals who are blind and visually-impaired, and to ensure that we do so in a way that makes a difference in the lives of the clients we serve.”
