A Fun Way To Support The Alzheimer’s Association

March 28, 2014 By Donna Ennis, Elder Law Assistant Leave a Comment

Country Meadows, a local retirement community here in PA, has partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association to raise funds to end Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. Giordano Law is pleased to announce that we will be a sponsor of their second annual charity event, Coach Bag Bingo, on May 4th at Cumberland Valley High School.  The first Coach Bag Bingo brought a crowd of over 250 guests to help raise funds and have a great time.

Since a staggering 5 million people are now living with Alzheimer’s Disease or some other form of Demetia, (including one of our own family members), we’d like to ask for your support by joining us for this unique and entertaining event, Bingo With a Cause!Coach

Com’on – who doesn’t love to win a prize, right? The winner of each bingo game will receive a new, authentic designer handbag from Coach! Additional cards are available for purchase as well as opportunities to enter a raffle and to win gift baskets filled with all sorts of goodies generously donated by local businesses. Of course, food and drinks will be made available for purchase too.

Last year was completely sold out, so we advise that you reserve your ticket in advance by calling 717-737-4028. Advance tickets are just $30 or you can buy tickets at the door, first come first served, for $35.  $30 for an afternoon of fun with friends and neighbors plus an opportunity to help a very worthy cause — we’re winners all around!

Did You Know?

  • Almost two-thirds of Americans with Alzheimer’s are women.
  • 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
  • Last year, 15.5 million family members and friends provided 17.7 billion hours of unpaid care to people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia – care valued at just over a whopping $220,000,000,000.00 (Yes, that’s 200 billion bucks!) – nearly 8 times McDonald’s sales in 2012.

So, you see, this disease impacts just about everyone.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to The Alzheimer’s Association, so come on out and join us for an afternoon of fun, a chance to win some great prizes and help fight the progression of this terrible disease!

See you there!

♥ Donna and Mike
